What are the costs for the seller?

In case of sale of an object on the platform, the costs for the seller are

15% of the selling price for a "standard" listing

20% of the selling price for a "premium" listing

But always a minimum of 10 CHF per item sold.

Why does my listing need to be validated?

In order to guarantee an optimal and secure experience for all users, the platform must ensure that each item is consistent with its description. Geneva Collections relies on it’s network of experts to ensure this.

How long do I have to wait before my listing is validated?

Normally the listing is validated within 24 to 48 hours (business day). If our experts find that additional research needs to be undertaken in order to validate the ad we will contact you.

Is it possible to sell my item elsewhere at the same time?

Yes you can sell your item elsewhere, however it is very important to remove your listing from the Geneva Collections platform immediately when the item is no longer available. To do so, simply open the item in question in your user account and click on "delete". No fee is due to Geneva Collections in this case.

What shipping methods should I offer to buyers, and how much does it cost?

Depending on the value of the item and its size, the methods you offer are different, but the shipment should always be registered with a tracking number unless a pick up in person has been arranged. Here are some examples:

1) For items weighing less than 1 kilo and worth less than CHF 1000 we recommend using the Swiss Post registered service. You can find out the rates on the post office website.

2) For items worth more than 1000 CHF we recommend using the services of a carrier such as DHL or FEDEX with an additional insurance

3) For large or fragile items we recommend that you arrange for delivery in person.

Please contact us if you have any questions, we will be happy to assist you.

Do I have to create the payment and delivery methods each time I create a listing?

The payment methods you wish to accept only need to be created once. After that they are saved in the system and you can easily select them via a drop-down menu when creating  future listings. Each time you create a listing you can add or remove a payment method.

The delivery methods, which are different for each item, must be created each time when creating  a listing.
