Geneva 19th century imitation of a countermarked Pignatelle. Foreign coins were countermarked with "IHS" in Geneva in the late 16th century, the most common countermaked coin was the French Pignatelle or Gros de Nesle. On this coin the IHS countermark is a falsification from the 19th century, likely by Charles Roumieux, struck on an authentic Henri II Gros from 1551. 2.71 grams Inv:5998D251N303
