Silver-plated award cup offered on the transatlantic liner "France" in the 1960s-1970s. France was launched in Saint-Nazaire on May 11, 1960 in the presence of General de Gaulle. At 345m, she was the world's longest ocean liner (until the launch of the Queen Mary II in 2004), and a symbol of France's prestige.
