In the foreground, Lake Zug and some boats can be seen. Above, next to the Zug coat of arms, the inscription reads "TVGIUM. ZUG." and in the bottom right corner is the legend with descriptions of the four buildings (St. Oswald's Abbey, St. Michael's Parish Church, Capuchin Monastery, and Women's Monastery).
