Unique IBM (International Business Machines Corporation) Honorary award medal from the New York World's Fair of 1939 awarded to a polish painter Stephan Domaradski for a notable contribution to the art of the world. 75.4 mm in diameter, 204.1 grams Marked on the rim "Medallic art co. N.Y. Bronze" According to IBM's THINK Magazine dated October 1939 which has an overview of the "Science and Art Exhibits" from the New York World's Fair and the Golden Gate International Exposition. It appears that Stephen Domaradski's "Village in the Poleskie District" won second price of 400 dollars in the New York World's Fair. With first place to John Keating of Ireland for "The Race of the Gael."
