The poster of the city of Gijón is the work of French artist Gérard Titus-Carmel. Born in 1942 in Paris, Titus-Carmel is a painter and engraver but also a poet and essayist. His poster for the city of Gijón represents nets that just want to shake. He also designed the poster for the French Open in 1987. The series of posters for the 1982 Football World Cup in Spain remains one of the most remarkable, with each of the twelve host cities of the tournament having called upon a different renowned artist. Excellent condition, 60x95cm.
