Magnificent antique basket in 925 sterling silver. This fine piece of mid-18th century silverware has a handle imitating rope and flowers and leaves applied to the body. Made in Great Britain, London, 1768. Hallmarked with the English lion passant (sterling silver), the crowned leopard (London), the letter n for the year 1768. Very good condition in keeping with its age, base slightly deformed. Width 15cm, height 5cm (12.5cm with handle), depth 12.5cm. Weight 123.5 grams.
