Description
Splendid and very rare 875 silver salt pot (84 Zolotnik). This magnificent piece of antique Russian silverware is entirely gilded and nielloed. Round in shape, on 4 feet, with a handle. Made by master silversmith Vasily Semenov, Moscow, Russia, 1869. Despite visible signs of use and areas where the gilding is fading, this piece is in excellent condition for its age. Width 6.5cm, height 3cm (6.5cm with handle). Weight 95 grams.
