CYPRUS. Salamis. Evagoras I, circa 411-374 BC. Stater (Silver, 22 mm, 11.08 g, 8 h). ๐ ๐ ๐ ฒ๐ ๐ ฆ ('e-u-wa-ko-ro' in Cypriot syllabic script) Head of Herakles to right, wearing lion skin headdress. Rev. ๐ ๐ ช๐ [๐ ]-๐ ฉ ('pa-si-le-wo-se' in Cypriot syllabic script) - EY He-goat with long horns and beard recumbent to right on dotted ground line; above, grain of barley; to right, uncertain letter; on the right, countermark: bull standing right in rectangular incuse. Struck on a somewhat irregular flan and with minor weakness on the obverse from countermarking, otherwise, good very fine. From the collection of Dr. A.
