Russian Empire, Saint Petersburg, Extremely rare 56 Zolotnik (14K gold) parasol, circa 1860, by Samuel Arndt, one of the best goldsmiths of the period, known to have supplied the Imperial court. Ivory body, ebony structure. A similar example is conserved in the Hermitage museum in Saint Petersburg. 201.3 grams; 71 cm long. A new silk upholstery can be easily put on by a professional, since the structure is in persect condition. Inv: G26355
