Fabergé, Russian Empire. Magnificent Silver Cutlery Set. An exceptionally rare 24-piece silver cutlery set by Fabergé, crafted in Moscow during the late Imperial Russian period, circa 1898–1908. The set comprises 12 large forks and 12 large spoons, each measuring approximately 22.5 cm in length, with a total weight of 2,642 grams. Every piece is hallmarked for Moscow, 1898–1908, with the 84 Zolotnik Imperial silver standard. All 12 forks and 6 spoons bear the full K. Fabergé hallmark together with the prestigious Imperial double-headed eagle Court Purveyor's mark, while the remaining 6 spoons are struck with the K.F. maker's mark. In addition, all pieces carry the French "Cygne" import mark. A remarkably rare and important Imperial Russian silver service, this magnificent Fabergé set is a superb example of the firm's renowned craftsmanship and one of the finest surviving examples of its kind.
