Switzerland, Geneva, 1794 Half Decime with a beehive 19th century copy. The half decime with a beehive or a five centime is considered to be one of the rarest coins in Geneva numismatics, since only a few specimens of the original are known to exist, a small number of copies were made in the late 19th century, likely by Charles Roumieux, a Geneva numismatist. There copies were of exceptional quality and are themselves considered as a rare collectable. They can be differentiatred from the original strike by a slightly larger beehive, as well 94 pearls on the obverse instead of 96 on the original strike.
