Description
HAITI, Exposition Nationale d'Haiti, 1881, a silver (?) medal. Médaille de 1ère classe, 46mm (Roehrs 1544). Weight: 48,08g. Following the scholars, while the Roehrs specimen of the 1st class medal was unquestionably silver (DNW 13 July 2011, 1544), the metal content of this and other specimens seen would suggest that a high percentage of nickel was used in the manufacture.
