Geneva Collections, a Geneva story
Founded in 2022, Geneva Collections is Switzerland's first platform entirely dedicated to collectibles and numismatics. Born from the meeting of two passionate collectors, it was created to answer a simple need: collectors deserved a trustworthy space, where every seller is verified and every listing reviewed before publication.
In 2024, Geneva Collections extended its expertise beyond the digital world with Geneva Collections Direct Services: direct purchase and sale, consignment, appraisal, inventory, and estate management — personalized support for collectors and families alike.
In 2026, Geneva Collections takes a new step forward with the integration of a secure payment solution directly on the platform. Every transaction is now handled end-to-end by Geneva Collections.
Today, Geneva Collections brings together several hundred users and has facilitated the sale of several thousand items. The platform pursues a clear mission: to offer every collector, beginner or expert, a demanding experience and a trusted community.
Our Values
Rigor and expertise. Every member of our team has in-depth knowledge of numismatics and collectibles. This expertise guides every decision we make, from listing reviews to client support. Geneva Collections and its partners are members of several recognized scientific associations, including the Société genevoise de numismatique and the American Numismatic Society (ANS).
Trust and transparency. All sellers on our platform are verified, and all listings are reviewed before publication. We are committed to providing a safe and transparent buying and selling environment.
A passion for history. Every object tells a story. We believe collecting is a unique way to preserve and pass on this heritage, and we put this conviction at the service of our community.
Our Founders
Michael
Having lived in Switzerland since childhood, Michael developed an early passion for history, particularly that of Geneva, inherited from his collector grandfather. From the age of 12, he began scouring flea markets in search of rare finds.
Holding a degree in corporate finance, he worked for several international organizations before dedicating himself fully to his passion. Michael has worked as a consultant for several Swiss auction houses. He holds recognized expertise in numismatics, watchmaking, and antique silverware.
Paul
Born in Geneva into a family of passionate collectors and auction organizers, Paul grew up surrounded by auction rooms. This early exposure to the stories behind objects shaped his eye for detail and his rigor.
A collector since childhood, he developed an early interest in ancient coins — miniature reflections of the societies that struck them, offering a tangible connection to history. After studying International Relations in Geneva, he spent eight years as an expert and catalogue writer for a prestigious international numismatics house.
A meeting, a shared project
It was over ten years ago, at an auction, that a lasting friendship began. It would lead, in 2022, to the founding of Geneva Collections, a platform built for discerning collectors.
Our Offices, at the Heart of History
Geneva Collections is based at Cour de Saint-Pierre 5, in the heart of Geneva's Old Town. This 15th-century house, one of the oldest surviving medieval buildings in the Old Town, has been a listed historical monument since 1964. It stands on one of the sites where the city of Geneva first began to develop, well before Roman times.
For a company that places history at the heart of its identity, this location felt like a natural fit. Our windows overlook the International Museum of the Reformation, built on the site of the chapel where the Reformation was adopted in 1536. Just steps away stand the colonnade of St. Pierre Cathedral and the archaeological site holding the tomb of a Celtic chieftain, resting there for over two millennia.
